Your Guide to Finding Information About CAT Practitioner Training Courses

You might have noticed - our new website doesn't look like our old website.  There's a whole lot of change afoot and we know one of the frequent reasons people visit here is to find out about options for CAT Practitioner training courses.  There is a dedicated listing page at this link - Listing of CAT Practitioner Training Courses

Here you'll find summary information about each active course, with dates of the next intake, contact details, and links to any additional information or downloads.

At present, there is one course open to applications and another soon to be doing the same.

The Catalyse CAT Practitioner training course, based in the Manchester/North West, is receiving applications now, with a closing date of 30th May.  This course includes both a standard route for Trust and self-funded places.  It is also approved for NHS England funded training for NHS staff in the North West and Midlands. You can find out more about this directly from their NHSE route update page.

The Newcastle CAT Practitioner Training Course will open for applications in June 2025, with interviews and the offer of places in late September. The course will start January 2026.  There are two routes to training as a CAT Practitioner: the "standard" route and the NHS England route for those in the North East & Yorkshire region of the NHS (including North Cumbria).  For any queries please contact the course directly via CSPTtraining@cntw.nhs.uk

We will update the listing page regularly so do please check back there for further information.
