The next AGM will take place
Attendance at the AGM is free and is open to all members.
Please send any agenda items or proposed resolutions to Maria Cross, ACAT Administration Manager, by Tuesday, 22nd April 2025 at the latest: maria.cross@acat.me.uk
The maximum number of trustees at any one time is twelve. Currently, up to two of these twelve trustees can be lay members.
At each AGM, at least one third of trustees stand down. This is a requirement of ACAT's Memorandum and Articles of Association. Trustees standing down have the option to stand for re-election if they wish.
Voting members of ACAT (see below) can make nominations to the Board. Nominees can be full ACAT members or lay people.
Fully paid-up practitioner, psychotherapist, and life members of ACAT are eligible to nominate a trustee and vote at the AGM.
The Board of Trustees have made the decision not to recruit any new trustees at this year's Annual General Meeting. This is due to the ongoing organisational review, which the Trustees want to receive and digest before considering the next steps for the charity.
However, if you are interested in standing as a trustee in the future, please request contact with a current trustee so you can find out more about the role.
From Thursday, 1st May 2025, the AGM Booklet of Papers will be available online from this page. The booklet will include the Agenda, annual reports, and annual accounts. As in previous years, we will not provide printed copies.
If you are a full voting member who cannot attend the AGM but wish to vote on the reports and accounts, you can appoint a proxy.
‘Voting by Proxy’ will open on Thursday, 1st May 2025, and close at noon on Tuesday, 20th May 2025. A voting form will be available to download. We cannot accept requests for a proxy vote after the closing date.
This page will be updated periodically.
