ACAT conducts its activities under the governance of a number of boards and committees. The diagram below shows ACAT's organisational structure. You can find more details of each by clicking on the title links.
ACAT is a member of the Humanistic and Integrative College (HIPC) of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
ACAT is a registered charity (No 1141793). Our Registrar is the Charity Commission, which registers and regulates charities in England and Wales.
Trustees are nominated and elected by the membership at ACAT's Annual General Meeting.
The Chair of Ethics oversees concerns and complaints via the Ethics Committee (see below).
Trustees delegate responsibility for different aspects of ACAT's work to Committees and other groups listed below. Chairs or Leads of each sit on ACAT's Council of Management (CoM).
